In an advertisment in the Wensleydale Advertiser in 1844, George lent his support to a medicine as "having used the above medicine in various cases with the best effect" and "authorize the proprietor to use their names in recommending them to the public".

Christopher Horn was baptized 1 March 1825, the son of Robert Horn and Elizabeth, nee Allen. In July 1850 he married Jane Mason. In 1851, we see them living in Redmire, Christopher a lead miner:

William Horn was baptized 2 September 1827, the son of Robert Horn and Elizabeth Allen, brother to the above Christopher. He married Ann Calvert in September 1848, Ann being the daughter of Alexander Calvert and Ann Storey, baptized 10 February 1823 in Redmire. Their son, Robert, was baptized 30 September 1849:

George Horn was baptized 18 July 1824, the son of Thomas Horn and Betty, nee Peacock. George married Elizabeth Horn in May 1850. Elizabeth was the daughter of Robert Horn and Elizabeth Allen, the sister of the above Christopher and William. She was baptized 11 July 1830:

A new Horn family appears in 1861, headed by Thomas. Thomas is the son of William Horn and Margaret Lambert, baptized 15 April 1821. In 1851 he was living in Castle Bolton with his younger brother John and their widowed mother.

Thomas first married Jane Coates in March 1851. Jane died at the age of 28 and was buried 24 January 1853. She was baptized 4 April 1824, the daughter of John Coates and Jane Horn. The above Margaret is Thomas' daughter by Jane, baptized 1 February 1852.

In July 1855 Thomas second married Mary Cradock. William Henry is Thomas' child from this marriage, baptized 19 July 1857. This Mary died and was buried in Redmire 6 March 1859.

Thomas then married for a third time in ten years, this time to Mary Guy, his wife as seen on this census.

Lodging with Rebecca Heslop, nee Clarkson, the widow of William Heslop, we find two Horn families. The first is Rebecca's daughter Alice, baptized 2 July 1837. She married Ralph Horn (the son of Ralph Horn and Margaret Storey, baptized 15 May 1836) in October 1859. They had a daughter, Margaret, baptized 26 February 1860.

In 1891 there is only one Horn family living in Redmire. (Joseph) William Horn, and his sister Mary Ann, were children of George and Elizabeth Horn, Joseph being the latest arrival on the 1881 census.

1901 sees four households with Horn occupants. First we see Dorothy Horn, the niece of Alice Sarginson Heslop (nee Horn). Dorothy was the daughter of Francis and Annie Horn (nee Dimmock), born 26 October 1894 in Castle Bolton and baptized at Redmire Methodist 21 November 1894:

Living at the Swan, is Thomas and his family. Thomas was the illegitimate son of Ann Horn, daughter of Thomas Horn and Betty Peacock. He was baptized 31 January 1871, and on 15 December 1895 married Jane Horn, daughter of George and Elizabeth Horn (nee Horn).
