The Humble family only appears on the 1841 census:

Ann is nee Wood. She married Robert Humble 23 September 1816 in Redmire. Robert was buried 29 May 1841, aged 48. The children of Robert and Ann, baptized in Redmire are:
  1. John: baptized 2 February 1817, buried 25 June 1895
  2. Ann: baptized 7 February 1819
  3. Robert: baptized 27 April 1845
  4. Alice: baptized 27 April 1845, buried 5 June 1845

By 1851 the family was living at Hell Gill cottage in Wensley. There are later entries in the Redmire registers for the burial of a John Humble of Hell Gill, aged 1 1/2, 18 January 1860. Also the burial of Ann Humble, 6 January 1875 aged 78, and as noted above, John Humble of Wensley Park, buried 25 June 1895 aged 78.

In loving memory of John Humble of Wensley Park who died 22 June 1895 aged 78 years. Also Margaret his wife who died at Wensley 19 June 1907 aged 78 years. At rest.
