A James Wilson appears on the 1881 census at 22 Peppercorn Lane
in Kirkland, Westmorland aged 54 born in Kendal. But this James
is married, and has children aged 16 to 23. They could be the
same James, but that implies there are two James' born in
Kendal to differentiate, a task not undertaken here.
In 1901, Henry and Ann are living at No.1 Railway Cottage:
Name | Relationship | Age | Occupation | Birthplace |
WILSON Henry | Head, Married | 56 | Railway Porter | Leeming |
WILSON Ann | Wife, Married | 58 | | Morton-on-Swale |
|
Henry has made quite a career as a railway porter, as he was in the
same profession in 1881, living in Leeming village with his wife and
young children.
