John Henry Ruecroft was baptized 18 June 1893 in Redmire. He is
listed on the war memorial inside the church at Redmire: "Sacred to
the memory of John H. Ruecroft of Redmire died 26 February 1919 aged
27 years. ...". He is buried with his parents in the churchyard,
where their memorial reads:
In affectionate remembrance of William Ruecroft of Redmire who died
13 November 1916 aged 67 years. Also of Isabella his wife who died
23 February 1895 aged 41 years. Also of John Henry their son who
died 26 February 1919 aged 27 years.
